Cao'e River Gate Junction Project
The Cao'e River Gate Junction is located in Shaoxing City, at the mouth of the Cao'e River, the main tributary on the right bank of the lower reaches of the Qiantang River. The gate site is about 30km from Shaoxing downtown, 47km from Shangyu downtown, 85km from Hangzhou City, and 158km from Ningbo City (329 National Highway). This project is a Class I project, the main buildings are Tidal Retaining Floodgates, Dams, Bank Walls, and Wing Walls are Class 1 buildings; the upstream diversion dike of the secondary buildings are Class 3 buildings; temporary building construction cofferdam It is a level 4 building. The sluice junction is mainly composed of tide-blocking and flood-discharging sluices, blocking dams, diversion dikes, connecting dam sections and management areas. The main buildings in the cofferdam include: tide blocking and flood discharge gates, diversion dikes and connecting dams on the left and right banks.
The contract project started on December 29, 2005, and all the projects were completed on April 22, 2007, with a total construction period of 480 calendar days.
The total net width of the tide-blocking flood discharge gate is 560m, the floor elevation of the gate is -0.5m, there are 28 holes in total, and the net width of the gate hole is 20.0m. The 28-hole gate is arranged in 6 compartments. The compartments are separated by partition piers. The partition pier is 5m wide and is a reinforced concrete empty box structure. The tidal sluice has a total length of 697m in the vertical direction and 502.5m in the downstream direction. The gate chamber is a monolithic structure. The gate floor thickness is 2.5m, the top surface elevation of the gate bottom plate is -0.5m, the gate pier thickness is 4m, and the middle is divided. The bottom of the parapet wall is 4.5m and the top elevation is 12.5m; a traffic bridge is set on the gate. The bridge is 8.0m wide and has an empty box structure. Electrical equipment, hydraulic equipment and pipelines for the hoist are arranged in the empty box. The wing walls on both sides of the lock chamber are of empty box type and buttressed structure, with a total length of 96.5m in the downstream direction, of which the upstream section is 27m long, the lock chamber section is 26m, and the downstream section is 45.5m long. The sluice floor foundation and the separating pier foundation are all pre-stressed high-strength concrete pipe piles (PHC) treatment, and a thin concrete anti-seepage wall is provided on the upper and downstream of the sluice floor foundation.
The upstream anti-scouring section includes the front guard tank of the gate to the upstream anti-scouring trough with a length of 365m. The elevation of the upstream apron is -0.5m～-2.0m, the length is 15m, and it adopts 1.0m thick reinforced concrete structure. The upstream of the apron is a 50m long and 60cm thick concrete-filled block stone bottom protection, and the upstream of the concrete-filled block stone bottom protection is a 285m long, 40cm thick dry block stone bottom protection. A 6m-long prefabricated reinforced concrete anti-scouring caisson is provided at the upstream end. The upstream of the caisson is a 3m deep riprap anti-scouring trough.
The downstream of the gate chamber is a stilling pool with a depth of 1.6m, a bottom elevation of -4.1m, and a pool length of 35.5m (including the slope section 14.4m). The bottom of the stilling pool adopts a reinforced concrete structure with a thickness of 1.2m. In the downstream of the stilling pool, there is a 15m-long concrete flood and a 28m-long concrete-filled block stone flood. The elevation of the top surface of the flood is -2.5m and the thickness of the flood is 60cm. A 12m-long prefabricated reinforced concrete scour-proof sheet pile is installed at the downstream end of the concrete sea. A reinforced concrete caisson with a width of 8m and a depth of 13m is provided at the downstream end of the cast-in Shihaiman. The downstream of the caisson is an anti-scouring trough with a depth of 4m, a top width of 26m, a bottom width of 5m, and a slope of 1:3.
There are separate piers between the gate compartments, and there are 5 separate piers. The top of the separating pier is 5m wide and is a C30 reinforced concrete empty box structure with a total length of 90.5m.
Each side of the large gate wing wall is divided into three sections. The upstream wing wall is an empty box structure, 26m long, of which the straight section is 17m long, the arc section is 9m long, the top elevation is 7.0m (11.5m), and the top elevation of the wing wall is 7.0m. There are sand washing pump room, duty lounge and stairwell on the ground.
